being back at work....

The unofficial end of summer...

It was so good to see Bryant and Cherry, and later Shekinah, today. Being back at work...well, it was interesting. PG, another Filipino from the fellowship, is also going to be working with us, so it's interesting that we've still managed to keep our English staff within the fellowship. And...the Filipinos are the majority of our staff! :) Anyhoo. So we weren't able to accomplish much today except get placement tests finished up and printed for photocopying as well as tear open the textbooks that have arrived thus far. Tomorrow, since Maryann and Kennedy are back as of 3am this morning, we'll get buttloads more done. Yay.

Then tonight, Raul and the Sudcalenes came over to Casa de Catie to ransack my kitchen and make Filipino food :) adobo (my absolute favorite Filipino dish) and a new one that I can't attempt to spell. It was a really fun evening with them, and it was so fun to see Shekinah after 2 months...she's complete mobile now and even has a cute little Shekinah-hua language that she spouts out :) She's also got some pierced ears.

Here's some photos for you to enjoy. The photo op I missed was of us doing karaoke with Bryant and Cherry fun purchase while they were home...a karaoke mic where you can punch in numbers from a catalog that it comes with then the karaoke will pop up on your tv :) Soooo corny, but fun! Guess what Raul and I will be buying when we go in February...

Shekinah....she's sooo cute! and she looks so much like her Daddy, too

Bryant in the apron...later, Cherry put it on. Now everyone's worn this apron except the person it was intended for...me :)
