November already?

I'm not sure how it can be November already. But here we are. One of my favorite holidays is only 2 weeks away, and my other favorite is a month and 2 weeks away. Can't believe it's already holiday time.

First of all, thank you to many of you who prayed for our friend. She went through a very successful surgery on October 31, and the doctors were able to remove a tumor the size of an orange. She was discharged 4 (yes, 4) days later, and since her surgery, has been witnessing to everyone she can about His greatness. We serve a pretty awesome God :) I'm so thankful to Him for taking care of my friend.

Raul is doing well in clinicals for his CNA course, and we praise God for that. He'll finish up clinicals this week then take his state exam next week, then hopefully look for a job. Please pray for him as he prepares for and takes the exam. I have no worries that he'll do well, but I know he would appreciate prayers.

Did I mention that I started working with ESL classes at the church? I forget. Anyway... I love it. I have 2 students, my first official ESL students in the states, and they're great. And they don't mind being my guinea pigs, of sorts, as I test out some new theories and methods I'm learning in my classes (deciphering between what is too much information to share with them and what is just enough to be beneficial for them). It's really been a fun experience so far, and a great opportunity. It's nice to be back in ESL while I'm studying...keep my mind going going going all the time. But there is a lot to do before the semester is over.

In the midst of all our school busyness, I'm praying to see God work in one particular area of my life. Maybe I'll share it on here sometime as a separate post, but please pray with me that I will see God's hand in this area of my life. It's something I so want to resolve before the end of this year.
